On September 11, 2001, the World Trade Center towers were destroyed by unforgiveable acts of terrorism, and many Americans perished in the catastrophe. Among the casualties were hundreds of rescue workers who lost their lives in heroic efforts to save their fellow citizens. This Memorial has been created to honor this New York City Firefighter, William Henry, Rescue 1, who answered the call on September 11, 2001. The bravery, selflessness and ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. Families, friends, associates and well-wishers are invited to sign the Visitor Registry and add your own memories, reflections and photos.
