 | | | | | Harold with his brother Samuel | | | What can I say about my brother that isn't already known? Elizabeth tells me he was a wonderful, loving husband. His children, Harold, Jr., Richard and Charlotte say he was an exceptional dad and every grandchild thinks he was lots of fun to be with. Ask any of his friends and they will tell you Harold was a prince among men.
I've known Harold longer than anyone has! He was my brother. Through the years his advice and counsel was always on the money - the decision to buy the business, the purchase of the lake property, and even introducing me to the woman who would become my wife! And that was the best thing he ever did for me!!!
Working with Harold in the nursery has been a terrific partnership. I'm proud to have been his partner as well as his brother.
We not only worked together, we spent leisure time together as well. One might think all this togetherness would be too much, but that wasn't the case. Our families were very close. We traveled together, our kids grew up together and our grandchildren have always thought of the two families as one big family. And now that we have great grandchildren, I will never let the memory of my brother fade for them.
I will miss you, Harold. I will miss your great coffee at the office and I will miss the best shaggy dog stories ever. Most of all I will miss my brother. You will not be forgotten.
Sam
